WAY was responsible for the design and organization of the Symposium “Ancient Greek in Education and the Leadership of the Future” which took place on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the Argyriadis Amphitheatre, on World Greek Language Day. The event was organized by the Executive MBA of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

The symposium highlighted the contemporary role of the Ancient Greek language as a tool of thought, education, and leadership, fostering a creative dialogue among representatives of the academic community, the education sector, business leaders, and public administration.

Opening remarks were delivered by the representative of His Beatitude Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Ieronymos II; Professor Gerasimos Siasos, Rector of NKUA, Professor Sofia Papaioannou, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, International Relations and Extroversion and Professor Dimitrios Vasileiou, Deputy Director of the Postgraduate Program “Business Administration for Executives – Executive MBA” and Historian Giannis Mastrogeorgiou, Special Secretary for Long-Term Planning at the Presidency of the Hellenic Government.

Subsequent remarks were delivered by Nikolaos Makropoulos, Executive Vice President and CEO of “Evropi Insurance,” which also supported the event; Sofia Kounenaki-Efraimoglou, Executive Vice President of the Foundation of the Hellenic World and First Vice President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, George Taniskidis, Chairman of Optima Bank and Vasilis Daskalakis, President & CEO of BCA College.
