WAY designed the Communication Strategy for the Public Gas Corporation (DEPA) for the five-year project Poseidon Med II, 2016 – 2020. The cooperation of WAY with the Public Gas Corporation (DEPA) involves the provision of comprehensive communication strategy services, communication consultancy services, media planning and the planning of annual events.
Poseidon Med II is a five-year project which aims to promote the use of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as fuel for the shipping industry in the Eastern Mediterranean region, at the same time rendering Greece an international LNG bunkering and distribution hub in South East Europe. The use of LNG provides a safe, environmentally-friendly and viable alternative for fuel in the shipping industry. The project comes as a continuation of Poseidon Med (COSTA II East) and “Archipelago-LNG”, which contribute and steer marine transport in the Eastern Mediterranean region towards a greener environment with low emissions.
Poseidon Med II is co-financed by the European Union and is implemented by three member-states: Greece, Cyprus and Italy. Twenty-six leading companies, each specializing and established in a specific field and jointly covering the entire supply chain, have joined their forces, knowledge and experience in order to accomplish the implementation of the programme and to contribute to the promotion of the use of LNG as an alternative fuel in marine transport.
